My Broken Car

Monday the 3rd of December I walked out to my car to go to work and found it had been broken into in attempt to drive off with it. Luckily I had an anti theft device in my ignition that prevented my car from being on more than a few seconds without my key. To get into my car they broke the driver side lock out of the door handle. They completely messed up the ignition including breaking the anti theft device in half to where my key can't even keep it on for more than a few seconds. A locksmith replaced the key cylinder but couldn't do much else. My car was then towed to a repair shop roughly around 11:30am and sat untouched until Wednesday morning when they towed it to the dealer. Now there it sits. The mechanic called me Friday morning to let me know he still hasn't heard from the dealer and would call when he does. The mechanic is an asshole and actually yelled at me for calling about my car Wednesday evening when I hadn't heard anything past him telling me it was towed to the dealer. He basically said to stop calling because nothing has changed. If anything changes he will call me. This whole thing really sucks!! My insurance deductible is $500 so before my insurance even kicks in I have to shell out $500. And to top it all off (like this isn't enough) I missed the Rob Zombie concert Monday night. I had bought tickets to it well over a month ago but because of all this I put it in my head it was Tuesday night.

August Rush!!!

I just saw the movie "August Rush" and it wasn't perfect but man it was amazing. I recommend it to anyone!! I love everyone that is in it too which is awesome. I am buying it the day it is released on DVD. And I will probably get the special edition of it after that. As soon as it was over I wanted to see it again. I am going to try to see it in the theatre at least one more time while it is still playing.

Grammar revisited

Yep even several months later they are still having problems with the change machines. They haven't taken any grammar lessons though. At least this is a little more understandable than the previous one.

I was at the Laundromat on Friday night and took this picture. Apparently the change machine wasn't taking old bills though it took mine fine. I cannot believe how this note was written!

Pooh and buds

My mom and I went bowling at a local casino with a friend from work and her friend. It was really fun. In the Arcade area we came across a little kid machine that sold little toys for $1. They had this cute Peek-a-Pooh Zodiac set. Another cool thing about these is that pooh comes out of the costume! You can mix and match the various faces and even the various friends in the different skins.

I put my money in the machine and actually got my sign!

My mom wanted to try to get her sign...Libra but got another sign instead and the machine was being very difficult..not wanting to accept our money! So we just gave up.

In the container it came in, it showed another collectors set that the machine didn't have and she liked this one best.

The little paper it came with also had a website which I thought would allow us to buy the ones we wanted. Unfortunately it was only for businesses that want to buy their machines with various toy collections. So..I did a search and it led me to EBay...of Course! So...I actually bought the whole Zodiac set and the whole Peek-A-Pooh Series 9 where they are all in their little friend's skins. I figured I could give the ones I don't want to friends and family. This was my first time ever buying anything from EBay. Hopefully this will be a good experience.

Another pooh series had a cute garden gnome but I didn't really like the rest of the series but at least I have the picture.

Chicken Poop!

I was at Walgreens last week and I found this really odd lip balm. Only bought it for the name and haven't opened it yet because I am afraid!

More Socks!

I really enjoy knitting socks! It is fun. I just made another pair this time for my mom. They are acrylic though which sucks but I love the patterns the yarn produced. I followed the same sock pattern as the other socks. Maybe when I get more sock yarn I will try a different sock pattern. These were made the correct size thankfully. The pink socks I knitted were HUGE!!

My New Phone

Here is my own picture of my new phone. I found an AWESOME skull background through one of the "Get it Now" applications. I also have it showing me Sydney, Australia time along with my current time.

New Phone!

I am finally getting a new phone! I have had the same phone now for probably 7 years or more. It is my first and only cell phone. Never had to get a replacement or anything. I ordered an LG enV this week and hope to get it next week!

Knitting!

I just learned how to knit socks! Well..one kind at least. I got help from some books as well as the coffee shop (forum) on http://www.knitty.com/. I followed the pattern from this book...

And finally finished.....WOO HOO!!

Now...after the socks were done I still had almost a whole other skein left so I made a skinny rib scarf....

Well..there you go! And no...i HATE pink but these items were knitted for someone else. I am knitting my mom some socks next then I will knit myself a pair...maybe in time for next winter!

I thought this snow was pretty cool...covered the cars and also the ground a bit. It was really cool until the biggest snow storm since the late 1950s hit us though! Here are some pictures of the first storm:
