A dead moth that was in my mom's car by the back window.
Kayley in my new sink
Cool light covering next to a garage.
A cool cake I ordered from "Say it with Cake." I had to try fondant since I like the show "Cake Boss" and they use it allll the time. It was weird and not sure if I would order it on a cake again.
Cool Yin - Yang symbol made with chocolate at The Melting Pot. I had wanted to go there for years and finally got to go for my birthday this year! My brother paid for it. It was a cool place.
This was a weird drink I ordered from a Japanese restaurant. It was REALLY good. You had to open it a certain way that seemed suupppppper complicated though.
A weird tree growing right outside my mom's front wall at her house.
I saw this at Walgreens and I had to take a picture of it. "Blow your lunch"?!?!!? Also on the top right it says "Inspected by Dept of Bubble Gum."
Some friends from work are into Raku and I got to see the process on the 22nd of February. My mom and I got to paint beads that had already been fired once then we got to see them go through the process of getting fired again. I found this page: Raku on Wiki.
Here are our beautifully painted beads!
This is a rack one of them made to fire the beads
Firing with propane! After it is done firing they put the stuff in a garbage can filled with newspaper. While the pottery is in the garbage can they put wet towels over it to prevent the fire department from being called.
Our beads!
I am very thankful they let my mom and I keep the beads! After they are all cooled off we are supposed to scrub them to make them look pretty. I have yet to do that though. As soon as I do I will post a picture.
More Raku that is done firing...off to the garbage can!
Another round being prepared for firing.
A very interesting pot that just got done with the firing and garbage can process.
Yet another piece. I think this is awesome and it reminds me of Edvard Munch's "The Scream"
Here is a table that was inside the studio that I thought was awesome. I don't think the table and the skull part really go together. I don't remember if they were one unit or not. I think the skull part would look awesome hanging on the wall. It reminded me of the "Day of the Dead" style skulls/skeletons.
"Drowning"- I am in love with this song ever since I heard it on the show "Moonlight." I hope they make a video of it soon. It is such a cool dark song...it puts me in a certain mood.
"Lucky Man" - I heard it on the show "Journeyman" and fell in love with it. I can't believe it is from 1997 and I never heard it before!
"Down in it" - I have loved this song ever since Pretty Hate Machine came out. I had all the lyrics memorized in middle school.
"Head Like a Hole" - This is the first song I ever heard from NIN back in middle school and I fell in love with it and memorized it. I love the video.
"Land of Rape and Honey" - My favourite song by Ministry. I used to have to include this song on every mix cd I made.
"Over the Shoulder" - this video is just so hilarious! I laugh every time I watch it...the 80s! Gotta love 'em!
"Love Can Make You Blind" - old song from the early 90s during the "hair metal" years. I still love this song.
"Nymphetamine" - This song is pretty cool especially the video. I also like the gothic dress that Dani Filth (singer) wears in it and also his stance. He looks cool and I like his hair.
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - My favourite Poison song. Still love it today.
"The Kill (acoustic)" - Oh man can Jered Leto sing! I didn't appreciate him as a singer until I heard this version of the only song I really like by them.
"The Kill" - I love their kind of modern take on "The Shining" (one of my top 5 fav movies of all time) in this video. I absoltely love this song and Jered Leto is so cute in it. I can't get enough of just watching him in it.
"Insane in the Brain" - I have loved this song ever since it came out in 1993 on their Black Sunday album. I memorized it back then and still have it memorized...probably one of my top fav 10 songs of all time.
"Whole Lotta Love" - This is one of my fav songs by Led Zep. I haven't seen much of their live performances from back when the songs first came out. So I am glad I found this on YouTube.
"Love Song" - I have always loved this song. I have never found the singer attractive but I love his voice and this song. This live performance is weird..he is wearing this big gardening glove on his mic hand and has a cig in his other...Hillbilly Michael Jackson!! ;-)
"What You Give" - I probably love this song more than "Love Song."
"I'll Never Let You Go" - Another "hair metal" band...I just LOVE his voice and his hair...just love this song. They are a 1 hit wonder for me but what an awesome hit!
"Cemetary Gates" - I love that he is not yelling in this song...I have loved this song since it first came out. I also love towards the end when he sings with the guitar.
"Planet Caravan" - this is a great version of this song by Pantera but I don't feel they captured the "trippiness" of the original by Black Sabbath.
"Battle FLag" - Oh man I absolutely love this song! I bought their album after I fell in love with the song but they are a 1 hit wonder for me..didn't like any of the other songs on their album. But this song is probably in my top 10 fav songs of all time.
"Breathe Me" - I heard this song on one of the few new "Bionic Woman" episodes that I watched. I completely fell in love with this song...it is so cool that she is Aussie! I kind of burnt myself out on it though and I also don't think the video fits the song.
"Laffy Taffy" - I just love this song! The song is so dirty but addicting. I also love how one of the guys dances in it. He is so goofy!
"Pillz" - This song is crazy...just read the lyrics since that is all this video has.
"Crank Dat" - I just love this song...yeah very simple song but it is addicting!
"Hunger Strike" - Oh man do I love this song ever since it came out back in 1990. Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell sounded so good together but I loved loved Eddie Vedder's parts of this song more. Probably one of my top 10 fav songs of all time.
"Chloe Dancer Crown of Thorns" - This group is what inspired Temple of the Dog. This song is just soooo cool too bad the singer died so young. But then we would have never had Temple of the Dog or Pearl Jam.
"20th Century" - I have loved the Shame album from Brad since it first came out in 1993. They have this old sound to them that is cool and funky. I never bothered to try another album after this though.
"Muhammed My Friend" - I wish I could get the RAINN 97 concert on DVD! Maybe they will re-release it some day. I love this performance with Maynard from Tool! Too bad you can't hear him sing because the women in the crowd go crazy for him.
"Talula" - This is the best version of this song I have heard. I just love the bass and the beat and how it gets really cool.
"In Your Eyes" - I really like the long version of this song...this video. I fell in love with it ever since I saw it on Mtv back around when the video was first released. I love the regular version of this song but this gives it a completely different feel.
"Warm Leatherette" - I love what Trent and Peter Murphy did with this song! I really like the original by The Normal but they did so much more with it...just awesome!
"Cyclone" - I couldn't get enough of this song before the album came out then it came out and I got tired of it...go figure!
"Creeping Death" - The whole song is okay but I particularly love one part...just the way he sings it "Die by my hand...I creep across the land..." until "...Killing first born man."
"Lean Like a Cholo" - This song is hilarious! I absolutely love it!!
"Hey Matthew" - I loved this song back when it came out in the late 80s. Glad the video for it is on YouTube...it takes me back!
